Case Study – Harrison Hotel
The Harrison Hotel is an unique boutique hotel located on the Malone Road, Belfast in Northern Ireland. Melanie has carefully handpicked all items of the hotel including reclaimed floors from Belfast City Hospital, railings from Erbington Barracks and the carpets are made by Ulster carpets, the makers of the carpets in the Titanic.
Each room is named after a creative with links to the Emerald Isle , including the Bronte Room, reflecting how Patrick Bronte’s life took him from Tullylish in Co. Down to the windswept Yorkshire moors which helped to inspire Charlotte , Emily and Anne to literacy immortality. Also, whilst the CS Lewis room doesn’t guarantee being transported to Narnia, soak in the ambience of the city that produced one of the finest writers of his time.
During the renovation of this ex office space, The Harrison chose to heat the rooms with Arroll’s Rococo 3 Column finished in Old Penny Bronze, supplied via Foundry Cast Iron. The stunning décor throughout the Harrison, perfectly complements the decorative scrolling of the Arroll Rococo 3 Column cast iron radiator.
